Having taught and practiced a variety of complementary therapies since 1998, I now offer a range of therapies, courses and workshops designed to enhance and improve your well-being and life.
My background was in law and business and, after gaining my CertEd, I started teaching Law and Business Studies in further and higher education and spent the next six years as a senior lecturer teaching, developing courses and running educational and work experience programmes. I loved it and thought nothing would ever change. However, in 1996, I contracted viral meningitis and subsequently suffered from chronic fatigue syndrome which left me bedridden for some months and then severely fatigued as an ongoing issue. This put paid to my high pressure lecturing job. Conventional medicine seemed to have no answers so I looked elsewhere for the help I needed to recover. I discovered complementary therapies and never looked back. Once I was feeling stronger, I trained and qualified in Anatomy and Physiology, Clinical Aromatherapy, Therapeutic Massage, Indian Head Massage and Thai Massage amongst others. I started teaching complementary therapies for national qualifications at a local adult education college and met and taught some wonderful students.
The lovely lady who gave me my first aromatherapy massage back in 1996 introduced me to her Reiki Master and the rest, as they say, is history. I had the honour of becoming a Master myself in 2000, and have taught Reiki to groups both large and small, at colleges and privately ever since. In addition, I qualified as an Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist in 2004 and started up my practice in Surrey. Since moving to Shropshire I have also gained a Meditation Teacher Certificate, qualified as an advanced Ho'oponopono practitioner, and qualified as an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist, teaching the Grief Recovery Method in person to groups and to individuals both face to face and online.
My practice is now well established in spacious and comfortable premises in the centre of the historic market town of Ellesmere in Shropshire.
